Venice and More
On the 10th day of our trip, Angelo and Alessandra took us to Venice. It's a 3 hour drive from Montecatini. We arrived in Venice around 11 am and from afar you could tell it's uniqueness from all the other places we've been to. The numerous canals and bridges, the decorated windows, the gondolas all characterize the beauty of Venice. As expected, parking was not easy and it was a 45-minute walk (with a baby in a stroller) to the Rialto bridge and the Piazza San Marco. Just as we got to the piazza, Rafael fell asleep. So we just spent time walking around the piazza, Palazzo Ducale, and the Sigh Bridge....On a Sunday, the piazza was filled with throngs of people that you could hardly see any empty space. Finally, Rafael woke up. We took him out of his stroller and showed him the hordes of pigeons in the piazza. Here are some great photos taken by Angel:
