Jet Lagged

We're finally back from our trip! It's great to be back! There's really no place like home. It's obvious that even Rafael missed home. But like most people coming from a long out-of-the-country trip, we are sufferring from jet lag. We tried to avoid it by sleeping less on the plane which we did anyway as it was too cramped and uncomfortable to be in 2 seats for 2.5 persons. I was up really early and couldn't get back to bed.

We had an awesome time in Italy...Benjie was kind enough to take us around despite her busy schedule. Bruno even went with us in Sienna. He has his way with kids. Rafael seemed to warm up to him easily..He often volunteered to take care of Rafael. Anyway, a big thanks to Benjie, Bruno, Marco, Angelo, Alessandra, Sofia, Antonietta...for making our trip a lot of fun..and to Drita and her husband for lending us their son's car seat.

We took Air France on our way back. I was quite nervous after the crash in the Atlantic a few days before...I just always try to think that it's still safer to be on a plane than a car as statistics would show...We took a small Air France aircraft from Pisa to Paris for an hour then from Paris to LA for 12 hours. We were hoping to have time to walk around the Paris airport but the flight from Pisa was delayed so by the time we got to Paris our flight was boarding already.

I will post photos later of our tour of Venice and Sienna and all the other unposted photos. Meantime, here's a photo of a jet-lagged Rafael around 2 this morning.
