Italy Day 3

Today we started out our morning with the best cappuccino I've tried in my whole life. Granted that I haven't had many but I could just tell that this would be one of the best ones I will ever try. The cafe' is just by downtown Montecatini and owned by a "Napolitano" or a person from Naples. It is common knowledge here that there is a uniqueness to almost anything (salami, coffee, wine, etc.) depending on where the product is from and who's preparing it. So coffee from Naples is almost always good. Thanks to our gracious host, Benjie, we're learning all these small details. We also spotted a team of cyclists in the cafe' and 2 of them were nice enough to agree that a photo be taken of them. I will post it once I get it out of the other camera. I don't have a reader for SD cards.

Benjie then dropped us off at Vinci but this time at Leonardo da Vinci's Museum. It's about 5 minutes away from where his house is. Honestly, the only thing I know about the guy is that he painted Mona Lisa. The guy was so much more than that. He was an artist / engineer / inventor and who knows what else. But I guess it was not uncommon during those times to excel in more than one field. He puts the likes of Bo Jackson or Dion Sanders (multi sport athletes) to shame.

After lunch, we headed to San Gimigniano, still in Tuscany and famous for its towers. I will give a more detailed description as it is past my bedtime but post the photos anyway.

An interesting side trip just before we headed to Da Vinci's museum, we passed by a wine filling station (yes a wine-filling station). It's much like a water-filling station back in the US. This saves people some $$ or in their case some Euro as they can buy them in big bottles. A bottle of wine can cost only EUR 1!
