The following day, cooked breakfast of Vigan longganisa Ed bought from SF, fried eggs and authentic hot cocoa from Manila. Spent the day just hangin out as Ed and Bil were exhausted from the drive.
Late in the afternoon, we went to eat at the Boiling Crab Restaurant in Garden Grove http://www.theboilingcrab.com/. If you're ever in town, you should at least try this once. Ordered 3 lbs. of shrimp, fried calamari and fried catfish. The garlic-butter-lemon shrimp is a must-try. Calamari is typical. The Catfish tasted fresh and was actually pretty good. Rafael loved the french fries.
Grabbed some Mojito and coldcuts from Costco for movie night. Rafael wanted to stay up with everyone but eventually fell asleep as we all watched Transporter 3 and The Saw III (horror movies are starting to grow on me).
Sunday morning after breakfast, Ninong Ed and Tita Bil had some more playtime with Rafael. It will be another few months before he'll see them. When it was time for them to go, as if he could sense them leaving, he cried and wanted to be carried by Tita Bil and Ninong Ed only.
It was short but fun Easter visit.
