March Madness

This month has been unbelievably busy for our household and it's not even the end of the month yet. It started with Rafael's birthday party celebration on the 1st. It was a well-attended celebration as his Titos, Titas, Grandmas and Grandpa came from all over to be with him on his 1st birthday. For a couple of days we hosted his Tita Benjie, Tita Bil, Tita Eva and Lola Fely. You could tell by his demeanor how much he enjoyed all the attention.

His 1st birthday also marked the first day that he could actually face forward while seated in the car. Something we all take for granted but I'm sure was a big deal for him. As early as 10 months old, he couldn't wait to be facing forward.

Remarkable changes occur everyday and I just hope we'll always be observant enough to see them. A couple of days ago, Angel sang (like she always does): "I have two hands. The left and the right...." and all of a sudden, he started acting out the song just like how Angel taught him! Oftentimes, we think he's too young to absorb anything we teach him not knowing that he actually remembers them! I'm sure this is just typical of babies his age but we can't help but feel proud and happy whenever he shows us something new.
