Lance Strongarm

The start of the "ber" months in the Philippines signifies that Christmas is just around the corner. Christmas songs usually start to play the airwaves and bright Christmas lights start to light up the main thoroughfares like the Ayala and Ortigas Avenues. Here in America however, people's thoughts are far from the Christmas season. September is the month that students go back to school and for working people like us, it is a chance to soak in the last few days of summer by making plans for the last long weekend of summer-the labor day.

We don't really have any big plans for the coming long weekend. Angel and I figured to spend the free time to go biking and just be with Rafael. So tonight, I came home from Sports Chalet with a bicycle helmet for Angel. Rafael quickly took notice when Angel tried it on so she had him wear it. Once he had it on, we expected that he'd take it off as soon has he felt the weight. It's a little heavy for a toddler like him. Funny thing was he kept it on, sat on his mini Car and went on to watch his favorite show as if thinking that he needed to have the helmet like his bib or something.

this is what I mean. even had his left leg up and big toe clipped to the edge of the car.


it's funny how he wasn't even bothered by the weight of the helmet.
