Sunday was atypical. It was one of those days when you're out early and back home late. We set out early (10 am is early for a Sunday) to hear mass. Though we got to church early, we picked the seats outside the church as we needed easy access to the grounds for Rafael in case he wanted to walk around. True enough, he never made it to his seat. We were all over the church grounds checking out every little corner which was fine until he walked up to people and stared and smiled at them. They just smiled back at him and some even talked to him.
He was knocked out a few seconds after I strapped him to his car seat. We had brunch at Denny's. We craved for some American breakfast. The carseat/stroller really does wonders in situations when you have to get off the car and Rafael is fast asleep. Without waking him up, we were then able to convert the carseat into a stroller. Of course it weighed a ton when you had to take it out of the car.
It's cool how Denny's has a "Build your own slam" in the menu where you pick 4 items for only $5.99. I used to order the Grand Slam by default but cost around 9 bucks. After brunch, we headed to Cristy's in Pasadena to drop off Gra'ma. Rafael's Kuya Vince was happy to see him but we had to leave for a children's party at the Garfield Park by Fair Oaks, not too far from Cristy's. It was Jaenna's 2nd birthday celebration. Jaenna is Dave and Franny's baby girl.
Isn't she adorable?

Rafael had a blast playing at the kid's playground just beside where the party was. He wouldn't let go of the steering wheel (check out how his hands are tightly squeezing that thing).
Playing with a toy truck he found lying around on the sand. He almost took it home until he got distracted by the party balloons.
With Kuya Vince...
